Surveys in Progress

The following Survey works are in progress to explore the technical feasibility and financial viability of the projects (Updated up to April '07):

New Lines

1.	Preliminary Engineering cum traffic survey for New BG line between Chinchwad-Roha. (95 kms)	12.57	95-96	Field detail survey completed. Consolidated estimate vetted & report is finalised.
2.	RECT survey for New line between Shirpur-Mhow (185 kms)	12.49	00-01	Comments from COM, Western railway are being called for.
3.	RECT Survey for new line from Pandharpur – Lonand	7.25	05-06	Traffic Survey completed and Traffic report circulated to all survey team on 20.12.05. Traffic chapter vetted by FA & CAO(C) on 16.2.06. Field survey completed for Pandharpur - Phalton section. Engineering details received and the same are circulated to survey team for preparation of their estimate.
4.	Upating Traffic Survey for Wardha-Yavatmal-Pusad-Nanded New BG line.	2.08	05-06	Report submitted to railway Board in August '06.
5.	Updating traffic Survey for Kalyan-Ahmednagar via Murbad New BG line (240 kms)	7.20	06-07	Revised Traffic Survey has been completed and under A/c vetting. Updating cost is under A/c. vetting
6.	RECT survey for New line between Veer-Harihareshwar (45 kms)	3.03	06-07	Consolidated TOR is under finalisation for approval of Railway Board. Survey Estimate has been vetted on 26.03.2007.
7.	RECT survey for New line between Karad - Chiplun (90 kms)	6.08	07-08	TOR called from field units. Survey Estimate sent to accounts for vetting on 24.04.2007.

1.	Preliminary Engineering cum Traffic Survey for the Conversion of Achalpur-Mutjapur-Yavatmal & Pulgaon-Arvi.	30.77	03-04	Report has been approved by GM and is sent to Railway Board on 14.07.05. Railway Board has raised some observations on the subject survey and remarks called from field unit.
2.	Traffic Survey for Pulgaon-Arvi G.C. & Arvi-Amla new BG line.	17.13	95-96	Report submitted to Railway Bd vide letter No. T/197/S/PAA/GC/15 dt. 5.02.04. Railway Board vide their letter dated 6.8.04 has raised some queries which have been replied by Dy.COM/ Survey vide letter No.EW/689/S/216 dt.26.7.05.

M/s. RITES has submitted final report on 15.05.06 and the same is under finalisation. ii)Draft Engineering Survey report of 3rd line between Bhopal-Bina sent to WCR for giving their observations and approval and again reminded on 24.6.05, 2.09.05, 29.11.05, 31.1.06 & 5.5.06 for the same. iii)Draft Survey report of Tuglakabad- Palwal section sent to N.R. for giving their observations and approval and reminded on dt. 24.6.05 & 2.9.05, 29.11.05, 31.1.06 & 5.5.06 for the same.
2.	RECT Survey for 3rd line between Itarsi - Ballarshah.	15.30	05-06	Survey estimate vetted. Terms of reference sent to Railway Board for approval on 11.5.05. Survey estimate vetted & sanctioned by CAO(C). Traffic report & Notional yard diagrams sent to Dy.CE(C)/Nagpur on 24.04.2007 for preparation of Engineering estimate & report.
3.	Updating of Survey for Pune-Miraj-Kolhapur Doubling (326 Kms)	2.50	04-05	Survey report submitted to Railway Board vide letter No.EW/689/S/243 dt.29.12.05 & Railway Board has raised some observations on the subject survey. Accordingly estimate has been modified & sent to Accounts.

Detailed Engineering Feasibility study for providing 5th & 6th line between Kurla-CSTM along Central Railway main line and additional corridor from Carnac Bunder to Kurla via Vadala Road.	56.99	96-97	Work being carried out by RITES. GM/RITES made presentation on 4.10.04. Final report duly incorporating the modification has been received from RITES and under finalisation.

Railway Board vide their letter dated 10.06.04 has raised some queries which are being replied. DRM/PA has been requested vide DO letter No. EW/689/S/207dt.11.8.05, 3.2.05 & 25.05.06 to develop Master Plan for Pune area early.
2.	Survey for provision of ABS in Summit-Manmad-Nandgaon – Jalgaon section. (170 kms)	1.00	96-97	Report submitted to Railway Board vide letter No. N/107/S/Summit-Jalgaon/94-95. dt.17.10.03.
3.	PECT Survey to run passenger Services on Kurla-Mahul Section.	1.00	02-03	Report submitted to Railway Board vide letter No. EW/689/S/210/237 dtd. 8.7.03.
4.	PECT Survey for Kurla-Trombay in Kurla –Mahul section.	-	02-03	Report submitted to Railway Board vide letter No. EW/689/S/210/ 237 Dt. dt.19.12.03.

MTP (Deposit Surveys)

Two Advance copies of report send to Railway Board (Member Traffic) on 15.11.05. Estimate under vetting.
